With almost 3,000 programs in over 130 countries, the organization offers help to children, young people and families in need through education, medical care and family strengthening. The focus is on strengthening the family, sustainability, children's rights and cultural sensitivity.
 
To support our Scholarships & Educational Development department in our Munich office, we are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) (15-20 hrs/week) to provide extensive and comprehensive support in financial management and budget controlling. 

Your tasks:

  • Assist with managing funding allocations for the program
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling program expenses, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and financial guidelines.
     
  • Assist with the reconciliation of financial data and ensure compliance with internal financial policies.
  • Assist with preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and or annual financial reports, summarizing program expenditures and financial status.
     
  • Assist with performing budget forecasts and variance analyses, reporting discrepancies and providing recommendations.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining tools, systems, and spreadsheets for tracking program expenditures and financial commitments.

Your profile:

  • You are currently enrolled at a university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or comparable studies.
  • High affinity for numbers.
  • Accurate and reliable way of working.
  • Experienced with MS Office.
  • A proactive approach and ability to solve problems and suggest improvements.
  • Structured, independent and responsible way of working.
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good knowledge of English or German.
