As a working student, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience while contributing to the development of recommender systems and ranking topics in the Fintech area.
We are looking for a highly motivated Working student (m/f/d) Data Science / Machine Learning Credit Card to join our team at CHECK24 Vergleichsportal Karten & Konten GmbH in Munich.
As a working student, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience while contributing to the development of recommender systems and ranking topics in the Fintech area.
Your Responsibilities
- Experimentation with various approaches that utilize LLMs for extracting information from documents
- Exploring latest academic research on the topics of recommender systems (for example Graph Neural Networks, Large Language Models) with the focus on code implementation in Python
- Assist in the design and implementation of machine learning algorithms to enhance our ranking/recommender engine performance
- Support the development and deployment of microservices using FastAPI, Docker, and machine learning libraries
- Contribute to ensuring interpretable and explainable solutions
- Collaborate with the team to monitor and evaluate model performance, implementing necessary adjustments and improvements
Your Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a relevant course of study (computer science, informatics, mathematics, statistics or a similar field)
- Based in Munich area for in-person learning
- Experience with Large Language Models based solutions for information extraction purposes
- Hands-on approach to latest and established methods and strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated variety of portfolio projects using LLMs
- Interested in recommender systems and ranking problems (experience not mandatory)
- Good understanding of basic Data Science concepts
- Proficient in Python and familiar with main Data Science and Machine Learning libraries
- Fluency in English (minimum C1)
