Laboratory Specialist and Pilot Plant Operator (m/w/d)

VORN Bioenergy is a leading biomethane producer and project developer with over 40 completed biogas projects in Germany and other countries, including Europe's first biomethane plant in 2006. To date, we have been able to develop, build, manage and optimize biomethane plants in six European markets and have a project portfolio of more than 130 MW and an additional development pipeline of more than 90 MW. Due to our dynamic growth, we are looking to strengthen team at VORN IBERIA (Spain) with immediate effect as Laboratory Specialist and Pilot Plant Operator (m/w/d) in Espejo, Cordoba:

Your Responsibilities

  • Being the main responsible for the operation and maintenance of a biogas pilot plant and validation of VORN fermentation concept
  • Being the main responsible for the operation and maintenance of our laboratory
  • Become the expert for feedstock characterization, biomethane potential tests, and other essential analysis for project development and engineering design of biomethane plants. You will become an expert on laboratory analysis, providing support to internal European projects as needed
  • Being the responsible for the generation, recording, and communication of laboratory data to the team
  • Our laboratory and pilot plant is located is Espejo, Cordoba. Therefore, this position is for 100% presential work in Espejo, Cordoba. 
     

Your Profile

 
  • Technical degree (Bachelor or Master) in Science, Engineering, Environmental or related field. 
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience working in the operation of a pilot plant in an advantage.
  • Experience working with the analysis involved in biogas production is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • Ability to learn new topics related to the operation of biogas plants and laboratory analysis of different feedstocks
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Good communication skills with different target groups
  • Organizational talent, ability to synthesize ideas and present processes
