The Schiebel Group is a globally operating high-tech company and market leader in the field of unmanned, 200 kg, helicopters (CAMCOPTER® S-100) and mine detection systems. For us, it's not just about technology - it's about visions that take flight!   

At Schiebel, we are increasing our global operational footprint and operations. Therefore, we are looking for highly motivated technicians holding a Camcopter® S-100 Maintenance licence, who are willing to travel for short and long-term deployments and reinforce our teams worldwide. Our highly qualified training team will ensure you are fully familiarized with Schiebel's operational standards and procedures before deployment (if required, training will take place in Austria for a duration of up to two weeks). This role is targeting licensed Field Maintenance Technicians on a contracting basis, with the option of short-term (3-6 month) or longer-term (12 month) contracts.   

Thereafter, you will be deployed to different parts of the world (land and/or ship-based operations) on rotational basis (various options available.) As part of our operations and maintenance team, your primary responsibility is the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the CAMCOPTER® S-100 UAS.   

Your Mission

  • Perform all related aircraft and ground station maintenance work, which includes servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and detailed documentation in accordance with company procedures and specifications
  • Use and apply internal standards and procedures when performing maintenance or troubleshooting aircraft/systems discrepancies, e.g., applicable technical orders/manuals
  • Prepare, maintain, and store aircraft maintenance records and historical documents 
  • Perform logistical tasks such as inventory checks, material order and usage requests, and site preparation operations, e.g., loading and unloading of containers
  • Maintain equipment and tools in a safe and serviceable condition
  • Assist in launching, recovering, and ground handling of aircraft 
  • Report safety and aircraft discrepancies in accordance with the approved internal procedures

What your bring

  • Must be an EU citizen or have the unrestricted right to work in the EU/Schengen Area, e.g., work visa
  • Must hold a Camcopter® S-100 licence
  • Have strong technical skills and knowledge, preferably from previous experience in aviation maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and written 
  • Proactive attitude and capable of working under minimal supervision 
  • Must be willing to travel overseas for extended periods of time
