Logistics Specialist - New Engines 

The Logistics Specialist - New Engines, reporting to the Supervisor Tool Store of New Engines Operations, is responsible for actively supporting production flow by ensuring that the right amount of tooling, materials and supplies are available at the right time and at the right place.
 
Position holder will communicate, facilitate, and help material flow by removing obstacles and continuously providing improvement ideas for process tasks, sequence, organization, visual management, and layout to ensure the smooth functioning of the tool store and support the overall New Engines operations, focusing on LEAP & GTF engines.

Your tasks

 
  • Promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety, Compliance and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization
  • Inventory Management: Perform handling of Engine parts and/or Tooling according to official standards given by the OEM, authorities, manuals, and internal instructions.
  • Process development: Ensure continuous improvement of shop processes as well as operational performance in terms of Material and tool availability
  • Coordination: Keep track and coordinate in/out coming tooling and goods with corresponding documents in addition to engine parts and assemblies according to priority set by production planning
  • Preparation: perform work preparation for different work centers within New Engines
  • Support the smooth operation in the New Engines shops with providing support to the Supervisors in the New Engines team
  • Apply 5S, LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies to achieve all targets and improve processes in respect to productivity, cleanliness, efficiency, quality, and safety standards, and costs reduction/optimization

Your profile

 
  • Completed technical and/or logistics apprenticeship is an advantage
  • Knowledge in Logistics
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to perform shift work
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Independent User of English (B1), and ideally German as well (B1)
  • Possession of drivers' license "B" and a Forklift license as an advantage
