A vacancy exists for a:-
TEMPORARY MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER/FITTER
We are currently looking for a Temporary Mechanical Assembler/Fitter to work within our Mechanical Assembly Department for a period of up to 3 months. This is a great opportunity to work within the Company's busy Machine Shop where various mechanical fitting and assembly take place, and machined parts are manufactured and assembled.
Primary responsibilties:
- Installation of bespoke hydraulic, pneumatic and gas systems to our wide range of furnaces and ovens.
- Oven Assembly (standard & bespoke).
- Drilling operations (Hand & Pillar).
- Carry out piping operations as required within the assembly requirements
- Reading of engineering drawings and a basic piping schematic.
- Use of mechanical fasteners (Screws/Rivets).
- Mig weld oven liners.
- Replenish & manage consumable stock levels.
- Use of overhead crane as necessary and in a safe manner.
- Insulate products effectively.
- Work on your own initiative to perform mechanical fitting tasks.
Key skills and qualifications:
- Good skill base in mechanical fitting.
- Previous experience within an industrial background.
- The ability to read and understand Mechanical Drawings.
- Previous machining processes and skill in performing machining operations such as drilling, milling, and turning would be a distinct advantage but not essential.

- 37.50 Hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00 - 4.45 pm, Friday 8.00 - 12.30 pm (Early finish on a Friday).
