Team Leader Process Engineering
The Team Leader Process Engineering is leading an integral and growing team of process engineers.
You will be responsible for leading the team in the introduction and continuous improvement of engine piece part repair processes, such as Cleaning, Thermal Spraying, Plating, NDT, Shot Peening, Welding, Brazing, Painting etc.
You will lead the team in industrialization of processes and equipment in close collaboration with Shop Floor Operations.
The role collaborates integrally with other leaders in our Operations, Process Engineering, Tool and Equipment Engineering, Shop Engineering, Machine Maintenance, and external vendors.
Your tasks
- Lead and inspire our Process Engineering team by fostering a positive and high-performing work environment
- Manage the team performance through established performance indicators, continuous improvement and generating a positive and engaging environment
- Lead the team in establishing standardized machining repair processes and ensure that these meet applicable quality and compliance standards of the OEM, customers, internal processes and state of the art technologies
- Lead the team in executing and developing continuous improvement of processes under your responsibility using (Safety, Lean, Quality and Engineering tools like Kaizen Events, SPC, FPY, OEE and Problem Solving Methods resulting in improved safety, quality, delivery and costs for our customers
- Provide coaching and training to all colleagues as needed ensuring best in class manufacturing principles
- Ensure a best-in-class approach for our industrialization projects according to plan (SQDCP) and define mitigations, when necessary, support the industrialization of new repairs and renewal of existing repairs
- Ensure the collaboration with Operations, Repair Engineering, Tooling Engineering and/or Shop Engineering to ensure Safety, Quality Cost and Delivery is not impacted for our customers
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience
- Experience in a manufacturing, operations or an engineering environment, preferably in the aerospace business or other similar manufacturing areas
- Proactive, positive and flexible character with a strong execution mentality and the ability to lead and energize teams
- High safety, quality, delivery and cost awareness
- Experience in project management, lean and quality methodologies
- Scientific Engineering degree (EQF Level 6 or Level 7) or equivalent experience in similar industries
- Fluent in English (Level C1), German (Level B1) is an advantage
