Student assistant (m/w/d/x) in the field of Underwater Perception and Object Detection

• Support the scientific staff in the project SeaMe
• Implement a deep learning model to detect and identify fish and marine mammals in RGB images
• Integrate the developed model onboard of an underwater robotic system
• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, robotics or a comparable field of study
• Knowledge of programming in Python
• Knowledge in machine learning and object detection
• Knowledge in machine learning frameworks, Keras/Tensorflow/PyTorch
• Experience with GIT
• Knowledge in robotic frameworks, ROS/ROS2, is a plus
• Experience in data management
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
