Objectives
The Project Development Department predominantly develops utility-scale solar projects as well as battery storage projects.
As a Senior Project within JUWI, working with the Development Team, you will be required to manage the various project development tasks necessary. These tasks variously include site selection, land lease/acquisition, plant layout, permitting and support the sales team with the commercial negotiations for the sale/acquisition of project equities. These tasks cover the development phase through financial close to construction phase support and until the projects reach the Operation License.
Primary Responsibilities
Identification and evaluation of land suitable for Renewable Energy projects.
Securing the land through lease agreements (in the case of private land) or other procedures in the case of public land and communication with the relevant stakeholders.
Management and execution of all required actions with the competent authorities for the issuance of the necessary permits for Renewable Energy projects (Certificate of Producer, Environmental Terms Approval, Grid Connection Terms, Installation License, Operation License, etc.).
Develop and maintain a network (developers, real estate agents, environmental auditors, public authorities, RAAEY, IPTO, HEDNO) necessary for the processing of permits.
Regular reporting on the authorisation phases of projects.
Implement and comply with JUWI's procedures and standards.
Report to the Head of Project Development.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Engineering or other relevant subject.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the development process of RES projects and very good knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations.
Combined knowledge, organisational skills, attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, team spirit and ability to work independently.
Decision making and problem solving.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of MS Project & Design Tools will be considered a plus.
Fluent in Greek and in English (verbal & writing).
Willing to travel frequently within Greece.
