Senior Manager Corporate Development (m/f/d)

Join our successful team in Frankfurt as a Senior Manager Corporate Development (m//f//d).   As Senior Manager Corporate Development, you will support the Corporate Development & Sustainability department and the Executive Committee in the strategic development and management of Haltermann Carless. You will work on impactful and future-oriented topics. With your eye for the essentials and your "can-do" mentality, you will get approval for your decision proposals and can thus actively shape further development. In your role, you will report directly to the Head of Corporate Development & Sustainability and will be in close contact with the CEO.

Your Tasks:

  • Responsible for strategic and cross-functional projects (Formulation, coordination, implementation)
  •  Support with planning and execution of Strategic Management Processes
  •  Preparation of decision proposals, recommendations for action and alternative scenarios based on strategic and business analyses, including research / market studies and evaluations
  • Market / competitive intelligence, incl. market oversight, trend analysis and providing relevant information to Executive Committee and Business Units to support business growth
  • (Sub-)Project management of M&A projects and strategic partnerships 
  • Evaluation of and responsible for New Business Development projects (commercial evaluation and business models). Support Group portfolio governance and steering

Your Profile:

  • University degree in chemistry, engineering or business administration. Additional training in business administration or natural sciences is preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, e.g. in the field of strategy in the chemical industry, possibly in the field of strategic marketing, new business development, M&A or similar
  •  Alternatively, 2-3 years of experience in a strategy consultancy
  • Experience in managing strategic projects, business management and business case development. Project management skills.
  • Result-oriented and structured way of working 
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, strategic thinking 
  • Strong communication skills, experienced in stakeholder management (at the highest management level) and managing without disciplinary leadership.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills; German is of advantage
