POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The (Senior) Control System Engineer (m/f/d) is the central link brining our machines to life. This role connects the process development, system development and machine safety teams on one side, with the software development and mechanical, electrical and pneumatic design teams on the other.
  • Driving the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Control System of the Nikon SLM machines and peripheral devices
  • Development of architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem level
  • Coordination with internal stakeholders in the development of the individual subsystem concepts for the Nikon SLM machine control system
  • Coordination with the software architect in implementing the concepts in software
  • As a senior: Guidance of junior control system engineers in the development of concepts for subsystems of the machine control system

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of engineering (mechanical, electrical, aerospace), medical technology, automation technology or comparable
  • Experience with systems engineering principles, e.g. V-model process including requirements development, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods, validation & verification principles
  • Experience with systems engineering development environments such as ALM for requirements management and configuration control, SysML or Matlab
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering, understanding of wiring diagrams as well as software development; programming skills (e.g. in Python) are a plus
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their programming languages (SCL, SFC, Ladder) is advantageous
  • You enjoy familiarising yourself with new tasks and developing sophisticated technical solutions  
  • As a senior: 6+ years of experience in system design of complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical or aerospace sector
