Sales Manager (m/f/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You are responsible for the booking and pricing results of a Business Unit.
  • You develop and grow the sales funnel and booking plans to meet and exceed objectives.
  • You drive consistent value creation by implementing value-based pricing strategies and pursuing profitable new business opportunities.
  • You work closely with the Business Unit Managers (BUMs) to develop and execute a booking and new business strategy that ensure year-over-year growth.
  • You participate in cross-functional Business Unit Teams and you contribute to a comprehensive annual business unit plan.
  • You have a strong customer-facing role that means most of your time is spent on customer facing activities.
  • You build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers across platforms such as Airbus, Boeing and others, as well as the OEM's Airbus, Boeing and others itself.
  • You are responsible for value-based pricing, reviewing contracts and negotiating terms with customers to ensure mutual success.
  • You continuously improve the team responsiveness to customer/business needs. 
  • You contribute to the quarterly business reviews for the executive management.
  • You take on additional responsibilities, such as supporting BUM duties, as needed.
  • You perform in and contribute to a performance-oriented work environment that emphasizes high accountability and continuous improvement.
  • This is a key development position for promotion to Business Unit Manager and further senior management positions. 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • As the ideal candidate, you have a Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree from an accredited university or college, ideally with a technical focus.
  • You have at least three years of experience in contract negotiations, sales and business development.
  • You have ideally gained experience in diverse sales or business development roles of increasing responsibility.
  • You exhibit leadership abilities, including high accountability by taking initiative, owning responsibilities and inspiring others through actions. 
  • You have experience in leading a team (e.g. in sales), which is appreciated but not required.
  • You are data-driven with strong attention to detail.
  • You excel in critical thinking, problem-solving as well as in managing and prioritizing multiple items.
  • You thrive in performance-oriented and entrepreneurial environments, demonstrating a "hunter" mentality and results-driven approach.
  • You demonstrate solid business acumen. 
  • You are an effective open and honest communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • You are fluent in English and German and you're able to travel up to 50% of the time.
