Microtrac develops leading solutions for particle characterization. Carbolite supplies high-performance laboratory ovens. Eltra enables precise elemental analysis. QATM takes care of metallographic sample preparation and hardness testing and ERWEKA is our producer of pharmaceutical testing devices.. Verder Scientific operates 13 production sites and eleven sales companies worldwide and are part of the German-Dutch technology group Verder, a group of companies with over 2000 employees around the globe. Doing what is fun

Responsibilities:
  • Interact with a diverse group of prospects/customers ranging from managers, engineers, supervisors, and technicians, to professors, and students
  • Responsible for supporting prospects/customers at all levels - pre and post sales, developing strong relationships with key account personnel and end-users
  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects, prepare, and submit territory forecasts to management
  • Prepare and send quotations/information to prospects/customers
  • Effective management of follow-up sales process activities via CRM pipeline
  • Plan and coordinate travel for prospect/customer visits and equipment/consumables demonstrations
  • Travel and represent the company at relevant conferences, tradeshows, and meetings
  • Make recommendations for product improvements and marketing opportunities
  • Communicate and interact closely with prospects and customers
  • Field customer inquiries via email and phone
  • Provide application consultations to customer for recommended equipment
  • Conduct sales and marketing activities within assigned territory
  • Manage all sales aspects of territoryProvide and maintain opportunity and sales pipeline reports
  • Schedule and organize travel into territory for tradeshows and customer demonstrations, schedule and conduct Webex consultations and training
  • Maintain activity and communication logging in CRM
 

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or other relevant engineering discipline is preferred but practical metallurgical laboratory experience and or industrial sales experience will be considered
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Experience working in and maintaining a CRM system is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Team oriented
  • Position requires an average of 60% travel
