Project Manager (m/f/d) Business Unit Airbus
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will manage projects within the Airbus Business Unit, while ensuring successful delivery of the project scope within the specified time and budget.
- You are controlling the project status (budget, schedule, delivery items) and ensure compliance with milestones, specifications, processes in an aviation environment.
- You set priorities for the project team to ensure project success on the critical path.
- You negotiate project parameters with the customer, if necessary, and adjust the planning accordingly in cooperation with the Business Unit Manager at Telair.
- You are also supporting the Business Unit Manager and Sales Team in acquiring other profitable new business projects.
- You are responsible for planning, control, and management of such new customer-focused programs for various aircraft platforms.
- Typical duration for a project is 6 months for product improvement projects to 3 years for new systems. This does not include acquisition and planning phase.
- You will have opportunities to expand your perspective in the future and enhance your skills by handling assignments in Sales and Operations.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- As the ideal candidate, you hold a university degree in engineering or comparable qualification.
- You demonstrate 3 years of expertise in project management, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Certification in project management (e.g. IPMA Level D or similar) preferred.
- Results oriented, with bias for action and a sense of urgency.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, data-driven with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple items.
- Self-starter that excels in an entrepreneurial ownership culture.
- Leadership abilities, including high accountability.
- Solid business acumen.
- Effective open and honest communicator with solid interpersonal skills.
- You are fluent in English and German language, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to develop yourself professionally beyond this position.
