For our International Cooperation Department
in Hamburg we are now looking for a
Programme Specialist (m/F/d)
- limited to 12 months / full time (39 hours/week) -
Your tasks:
- Coordination of an institutionally funded project portfolio in Ukraine and neighboring countries within the Regional Team Ukraine, Eastern & Central Europe (RECE)
- Management incl quality control and reporting, as well as programmatic and administrative follow-up of projects under the Ukraine Response
- Contributing to the development of innovative programmes, approaches and strategies in close collaboration with respective country and regional offices, alongside donor interest and internal strategies
- Grants acquisition and donor communication
- Establish and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with Plan Country Offices
- Provide and share regional expertise among other departments within Plan Germany (e.g. Marketing, Communications) as well as towards external partners, stakeholders and during networking events
Your profile:
- University degree in relevant field of Development Cooperation or Humanitarian Assistance
- At least 3-5 years of practical work experience in development cooperation and / or humanitarian action with proven in-country experience
- Experience in working with institutional donors, in particular GFFO, DG ECHO and BMZ Transitional Aid
- Basic understanding of Plan's key programmatic areas such as: Child Protection, Education in Emergencies, Youth Economic Empowerment, Youth engagement and Gender
- Knowledge of the Ukraine crisis context is an advantage
- Experience in programmatic work around the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and on your own initiative, quick comprehension of
- unfamiliar issues and ability to work under pressure
- Very good MS-Office skills
- Very good written and spoken English; knowledge of German is an advantage
- Ability to work across different contexts and willingness to travel at short notice,
- including to crisis contexts
- Team player, flexible and solution-oriented
