This Principal Cloud & Infrastructure Architect (m/f/d) position will see you joining the Thinkproject Infra and DevOps vertical at the leadership level. This is a strategic role that owns the articulation and governance of the strategy for Cloud Operations, Infra operations and DevOps. This position reports into CIO.
The team operates on the principles to keep our services simple, effective, and secure. We apply an open and collaborative working atmosphere, that encourages creative, passionate, and agile ways of thinking.
As a minimum you will hold at least 12+ years of hands-on experience in engineering/infrastructure out of which at least 5+ should be in the role that is responsible for proving thought leadership in the area of Infra and Dev operations, solutioning, and FinOps. Multi-cloud skills with primary competency in Azure is essential for the success of this role.
You will also need to hold a University degree in computer science, engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience. Experience of working in a multicultural environment and proven cultural awareness are essential elements of your profile.

What your day will look like
- Provide expertise and thought leadership in the area of infrastructure ops and DevOps.
- Be responsible for the clear articulation of strategy and governance model in line with business vision and product roadmaps.
- Be a stakeholder in successful implementation of the strategy.
- Be a stakeholder in the development and modernization of our platform and associated software solutions.
- Collaborate among development teams, product Managers, operations teams and security teams.
- Develop PoCs, prepare business case, value propositions as an individual contributor.
- Define best practices & work collaboratively for the implementation of Infrastructure automation & DevSecOps in Cloud & non-Cloud environments.
- Keep the organization abreast of new technology and trends relative. Evaluate new products with key stakeholders to determine potential trade-offs.
What you need to fulfill the role
- Solid knowledge and 12+ years of engineering and implementation experience across cloud computing, data centre operations, edge computing, data architecture, digital product development, sensor data integration, streaming data processing and analytics architecture development and systems development.
- Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise-wide environments. In-depth experience architecting complex public/private Cloud platform solutions (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS).
- A comprehensive experience in working with Azure service offerings is a must, along with a solid understanding of AWS and GCP.
- Experience, either as cloud engineer or as cloud architect, in execution of end to end application hosting or migration projects.
- A thorough understanding of cloud-native architectures, container orchestration, microservices and operational best practices including tools such as Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Terraform & Ansible.
- Hands on with Linux environments, cloud CLI, & scripting.
- Experience in AECO industry
- Experience in SaaS Product based organization
- Experience in Lift and shift and other type of migration projects
- Credible Certifications demonstrating technical prowess
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) framework
- Experience in compliance side of operations - ITIL, ISO certifications, GDPR, Cloud act etc.
- Deeper understanding about cloud and cyber security
