If you would like to work for an exciting startup and gain insights into the world of translation in book production and publishing, then we are looking for you to join us for a 3 to 12-month (mandatory) internship in the field of translation in your home office! Work and learn from the comfort of your own home!

No matter where you live, you can be part of the indayi family! The (mandatory) internship is unpaid.

We offer you an excellent, priceless working and learning environment. You do your work at home in your home office and can organize your time. You should plan on around 30 hours per week.

You correctly and proofread our manuscripts from all genres – guides, novels, children's books.

• If you have the qualifications/skills, you will translate selected manuscripts into English, French or another language you speak. It's a great opportunity for you to gain experience in this field!

• You write synopses, book spine texts and support the team in finding titles.

• You prepare finished manuscripts for various media (print, eBook).

• You place books on appropriate portals.

• You will get to know the exciting world of social media marketing, create posts on Facebook, blog posts and short YouTube videos.

• You help to maintain our website, etc. With us, you will learn intensively and comprehensively: From the very beginning, you will be given your own projects on which you will work independently.

We support you with your questions, because we don't want experts, but people who are keen and interested in learning! Be curious, creative and unconventional - we are excited about your ideas and your input! Our working style is characterized by the start-up feeling: relaxed, improvised, unconventional, multicultural, collegial and friendly, yet goal-oriented and results-oriented.

• You can get stuck in, are enthusiastic about learning, highly motivated, work independently and carefully and enjoy your work.

• You are characterized by social skills and the ability to work in a team. You can take criticism, are generally in a good mood, committed, creative and like to think outside the mainstream.

• You have good written and spoken German skills (expression, grammar and spelling).

• We are particularly pleased about your translation skills! (especially English, French, Spanish) • You are confident and experienced in using MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint. (Basic) knowledge of Photoshop or another photo editing program is an advantage. • Ideally, you are currently completing a degree.

• You have a passion for writing, creating, correcting and editing texts. • You are enthusiastic about our vision: to make the world a little better through books! • You love to learn and develop yourself

What is particularly important to us is creativity and self-confidence in project development as well as diligence in working on specific manuscripts.

After 3 months, you will have learned more than in almost any other publishing house, because here you will learn all aspects of publishing and be given real responsibility. The mandatory internship is unpaid. In return, we offer you an excellent, invaluable working and learning environment.
