PostgreSQL Support Senior

We are looking for an experienced Senior PostgreSQL Support Database Engineer to lead and expand our Support Operations team.

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases in Kubernetes environments using operators.
• Provide expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and high availability solutions, including Patroni.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of databases with applications and infrastructure.
• Act as a subject matter expert in troubleshooting and resolving complex database-related incidents.
• Mentor and guide junior database engineers in adopting best practices and methodologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of database processes and automation.
• Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently while ensuring high standards of database reliability and security.

• Extensive practical experience with the administration of PostgreSQL databases
• Strong knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Solid understanding of version control systems, especially Git

Nice to have: 

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Jira for issue tracking and project management.
• Proven expertise in high availability solutions, particularly with Patroni.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes operators for PostgreSQL and OpenShift.
