The role
Are you ready to shape the future of VEKA's commercial growth? We're seeking a driven National Specifications Manager to join our Sales team and lead the charge in expanding our presence in the commercial sector.
As National Specifications Manager, you'll play a key role in building relationships with architects, house builders, housing associations, and councils. Your focus will be to drive project growth by identifying new opportunities and ensuring VEKA's products are specified into projects. You will also work closely with internal teams and commercial fabricators to deliver successful outcomes on key projects.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of projects, aligned with market growth strategies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders early in the specification process, providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Build strong relationships with architects, house builders, and councils to secure new business.
- Provide hands-on support throughout the specification process, from initial design to project delivery.
- Lead technical presentations and product training for both customers and internal teams.
- Actively seek out new commercial fabricators to expand our customer base.
- Stay informed of market trends, legislative changes, and competitor activity, feeding insights into product development and strategic planning.
- Mentor and manage the Project Sales Coordinator to ensure efficient handling of project queries and maximisation of opportunities.
What you'll need
- Proven experience in specification within the construction or building materials industry.
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to communicate complex product details and compliance requirements.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a history of securing new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- A strategic thinker who can provide insights on market trends and anticipate customer needs.
