YOUR MISSION:
As a core team member of the Galileo Service Operator (GSOp), DLR GfR mbH operates and manages the constellation of Galileo satellites from the Galileo Control Center in Ober-pfaffenhofen in Germany (GCC-D) and provided Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) Maintenance of the Galileo System.
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be supporting L2 maintenance engineers to perform corrective, preventive, adaptive and perfective maintenance activities for the Galileo Sys-tem. Where the chosen applicant will carry out the following activities supporting the L2 Team in Madrid:
- Independent and autonomous handling of general electrical maintenance of ITC equipment, including tracking of defects and updating of inventory documentation.
- Repairing and replacing electrical components using appropriate testing devices
- Interfacing with external companies with regard to maintenance, servicing and repair activities
- Troubleshooting, fault rectification and optimisation of the electrical systems, including updating the existing inventory documentation
YOUR QUALIFICATION:
- Completed vocational training as a technician, electrician apprenticeship, master craftsman or degree as an engineer.
- Several years of professional experience in the operation of electrical systems and components
- Confident handling of common MS Office programs
- Willingness to carry out a safety inspections
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members
