Lead / Senior Software Developer (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Lead Developer with expertise in Scala (Playframework, Slick, PostgreSQL), and TypeScript (React, redux, Webpack). If you have a strong background in building scalable web applications and a passion for leading a team of developers to deliver high-quality software you should take a look at our position. Knowledge of Rust is a bonus as some services are written in Rust.

o Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Scala (Play Framework, Slick) and TypeScript (React, Webpack)
o Ensure the robustness, performance, and scalability of the applications
o Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
o Collaborate with data science team
o Implement best practices in software development, including continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle
o Contribute to the architecture and design of the overall software system

o 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Scala and TypeScript
o Proficiency with Play Framework, Slick, and PostgreSQL
o Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Webpack
o Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
o Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns
o Familiarity with agile development methodologies
o Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills:
o Knowledge of Rust and experience with services written in Rust
o Experience with cloud platforms such (we're moving to AWS)
o Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
