For our Influence and Advocacy department in Hamburg or Berlin, at the earliest possible date, we are looking for a

Knowledge Management and LEAD Network Officer (f/M/D)

- limited contract for 14 months / full time (39 hours/week) -

While being hosted by the Influence and Advocacy department of Plan International Germany, the role is part of the Youth Team of Plan International's Global Hub. This team, as part of the
Global Programme Team facilitates the transformation of Plan International into a youth-centered organization and offers services for the whole Plan Federation.


Your tasks:

This role coordinates the LEAD Network (Plan International's internal network in the field of strengthening the political participation of young people, especially girls and young women) and provides knowledge management support to the whole Global Youth Team.
  • Strengthening, support and maintenance of the network activities and participation
  • Administration, continuous improvement and monitoring of network processes and structures
  • Facilitating an effective network for LEAD/Youth Centredness and monitoring its performance
  • Development of learning and communication assets, e.g. the design of decks and promotional materials
  • Knowledge management and support to global reporting for the Youth Team
  • Administration of content and strengthen use of platforms for collaboration (Sharepoint, Workplace, Intranet, Teams)
  • Organization, logistics and administrative work collaborating with colleagues within GYPA and with other collaboration hubs and networks within Plan to promote integrated programming and influencing
  • Support to specific strategic projects and initiatives of the Youth Team

Your profile:

  • Strong experience in knowledge management and network management, as well as strong organisational, planning and process skills
  • Experience in creating learning and development offers, as well as experience in project management and implementation support, including budget support
  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a strong sense of creativity
  • High administration skills; including skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
  • Excellent team collaboration, able to work in a flexible and supportive way within an international team spanning different continents
  • Ability to manage a varied workload effectively, including managing competing demands, prioritisation and maintaining high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and output
  • A proactive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn, and agile way of working
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral, other foreign languages desired (French, Spanish)
  • Commitment to or passion for meaningful child and youth participation, gender equality, and anti-racism
  • Knowledge of human rights, international development, community development, child and youth participation, gender, social sciences or a related field
