We are looking to further strengthening our highly motivated Transaction Team in the Infrastructure Equity division. Dynamic capital markets meet a strong team spirit and a modern working environment in Munich Schwabing. The Infrastructure Equity portfolio reflects MEAG's expertise in all major infrastructure sectors in Europe and the USA. MEAG IE follows a long-term orientated buy & build investment strategy within four main investment themes: Energy Transition, Sustainable Transport, Digital Infrastructure and Essential Infrastructure. We acquire minorities, co-control and majorities in mid-market companies in line with our core/ core+ investment approach and strive to grow them throughout our ownership with an pro-active asset management approach
 
With your endurance, decision-making strength and performance orientation, you make a significant contribution to our team's success. You are keen to actively shape the future in the infrastructure equity sector and have several years of professional experience in the field of alternative investments on the equity side. You like to get to the bottom of things and appreciate the diverse and very demanding requirements for direct investments. You are spurred on by challenges and have a hands-on mentality. You have identified the enormous, worldwide need for infrastructure investments and the transformation towards carbon neutrality as a highly attractive field of activity in which you would like to get involved with outstanding commitment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Screen, identify and evaluate suitable equity direct investment opportunities within the infrastructure sector, with a focus on energy transition, sustainable transport, digital and essential infrastructure
  • Conduct financial modelling, valuations, and due diligence to assess the viability of potential investment opportunities
  • As part of a dealteam, lead comprehensive due diligence workstreams, including commercial, technical, financial, tax, insurance and ESG, among other
  • Prepare and present investment committee materials and coordinate the investment process with internal stakeholders
  • Assist in structuring processes and negotiating transaction documents, working closely with senior investment managers, co-investors, and external advisors
  • Collaborate with the asset management team, particularly during the post-closing handover and throughout sell-side processes
  • Contribute to the further development of investment strategies and fundraising of infrastructure equity products for institutional clients
  • Stay informed on market trends and regulatory changes, proactively organizing regular catch-up and pipeline calls with key partners and external advisors to ensure timely insights and strategic alignment

Your profile:

  • Degree in economics, finance, engineering, or a related field (additional qualifications such as CFA or equivalent are a strong advantage)
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the investment sector, preferably with an investment bank, infrastructure or private equity investor, consulting firm or audit company
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with experience in project finance and infrastructure M&A transactions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and contribute to deal execution
  • Possession of an established network within the sector to source high-potential opportunities
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional European language is a plus (German language skills or a willingness to learn German is highly valued)
