To support our team in Martinsried near Munich, we are looking for suitable candidates for this full-time and permanent position, to begin work as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities

In this position you will play a pivotal role in enhancing Formycon's efficiency and effectiveness. Your responsibilities include working with people, managing core operations, overseeing project delivery, and contributing to company strategy. Additionally, you engage and develop team members under your supervision. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction, proposing innovative solutions. Identify critical process gaps and coordinate their implementation with relevant departments.
  • Plan, lead, drive, and execute business-critical improvement projects using Lean/DMAIC approaches or similar approaches and (lean) Project Management methodologies to ensure successful outcomes
  • Develop and implement operational excellence strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring integration with business processes and systems
  • Calculate cost savings and assist the team in defining, establishing, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of operational excellence initiatives
  • Design and execute training programs for staff on operational excellence principles, tools, and techniques (including White and Yellow Belt certifications)
  • Report on the progress of innovation projects in monthly Continuous Improvement steering committee meetings
  • Take accountability for the Project Management Office (PMO) organization and its ongoing activities (generic project plan, internal harmonization, etc.)
  • Assist Project Leaders (PLs) and Program Directors (PDs) in project operations as needed, including preparing project plans and budgets, and managing invoices
  • Coordinate with the Project Controller and Finance teams to transfer and maintain financial data from Operations
  • Oversee documentation and updating of processes to reflect current best practices and compliance with regulations, e.g. develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for PM-relevant organizational processes, such as project risk management and MACS user manuals
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and implementing new technologies or methodologies to enhance operational efficiency

Your qualifications

  • A university degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management or related area, at least some within the pharmaceutical industry  and with a proven track record in Project Management Office (PMO) operations
  • A certification as a Green Belt or above, with demonstrated experience in implementing lean tools and/or Six Sigma methodologies in matrix organizations
  • A certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered advantageous
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within diverse teams and departments, with a demonstrated ability to influence others towards positive outcomes
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to drive execution independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in English for business communication is essential. Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
