ABOUT THE POSITION:

This role contributes directly to the success of engineering endeavors, ensuring first
that proper budget is allocated for the committed engineering tasks and ultimately that
all development activities are monitored throughout properly established KPI in order
to support on time project execution and effective management. You will lead
operations of Engineering organization to meet agreed-upon objectives which includes
functional budget, quality, cycle time, and productivity and will develop, enhance, and
maintain standards for operational activities. This role will report to the Head of
Engineering and CTO.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Project Management:
    • Provide operational management information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing operating trends of engineering organization
    • Oversee the planning (including budget finalization), execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and timelines
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including but not limited to the Program Management Office and Controlling Finance Office) to define project requirements, scope, deliverables and workforce capacity
    • Act as bridge between Engineering and Program Management Office in planning and forecasting workload
    • Utilize project management tools to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Collaboration and Communications:
    • Foster effective communication channels within the engineering team and with stakeholders across different departments
    • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering processes with overall business operations
    • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating performance of designers executing complex technical tasks into understandable KPI
  •  Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the engineering operations, optimizing workflows for increased efficiency
    • Assist the Engineering Quality leader in defining best practices and methodologies to streamline development processes and enhance overall operational effectiveness

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance or Economy; Master's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in managing a project with high technology content
  • 2 + years of direct involvement in budget preparation or cost estimate for running an organization or developing and selling a product
  • Successful track record of managing teams towards achieving project goals and deadlines
  • Proven leadership skills in team building and strategic planning
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
