Electrical and Controls Project Engineer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, diligent and experienced individual to join our expanding engineering team here at our Harwich site. This is an exciting opportunity to join as Electrical and Controls Project Engineer that has arisen as a result of increased project work at site.
 
This primary function of the role holder is Electrical and Control engineering of Projects that arise on the Harwich site. These projects could be new of modification to existing items of plant.
 
The Electrical and Instrumentation systems we have on-site are complex and extensive and the role holder will ensure design of plant is to fit in with current production operations.

As project engineer you will be responsible for the design of electrical and control systems for new projects and modification of existing items of plant. You will be responsible for the specification of components and equipment such as pressure, temperature and flow as well as motors, pneumatic valves and flow controllers to our site standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of projects involving meeting key deliverables, key component deliverables, management of contractors and staff. Training staff and process operators on new equipment is a requirement and the incumbent should have good communication skills.
 
Project design must be to exacting BS60079 and BS7671 standards as well as our internal site standards.

You will have good Electrical, Control and Instrumentation design experience and project management experience. A minimum of ONC, preferably HNC, Ideally Compex training and IOSH or NEBOSH certificate in Health and safety.
 
You should have good working knowledge of DCS (Emerson DeltaV) or PLC programming experience.
 
Experience Computing, computer maintenance management systems and office suite is required along with an ability to communicate effectively with engineering and operational staff.
