YOUR RESBONSIBILITIES:
- Definition and implementation of strategic objectives in Business Discovery and Business Design in coordination with the VP New Business.
- Independently developing and expanding the two areas of Business Discovery and Business Design. Ensuring and developing the necessary skills and resources (internal/external).
- Responsible for identifying strategic partnerships with external stakeholders (design agencies, venture-building partners, deep-tech partners, research institutes, hardware/software development teams, etc.), establishing and expanding them, as well as overall management (budget/timeline/resources).
- Independently derive and further develop the strategic future fields/fields of action for New Business in coordination with the line manager and present and approve them to the relevant Vorwerk decision-making body (e.g. Executive Board).
- Overall management and ensuring appropriate competencies in the various project streams in the responsible functional area, including the continuous further development of the underlying processes, methodologies and tools under own responsibility. Responsible for the content output (quality, budget and time compliance).
- Responsibility for ensuring overarching monitoring and implementation in the areas of technology readiness and start-up cooperation; coordination with the Engineering and Corporate Development departments.
- Internal competence carrier/ contact person for foresight, market research and customer insight research.
- Participation in the later project phases Business Build (set-up and expansion of the spin-off business areas).
YOU OFFER US:
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) / Master's degree in business administration or business development, business design or innovation management
- At least 7 years of experience in New Business Development, Business Model Thinking with strong leadership experience (content/disciplinary) in a corporate innovation environment
- Proven experience in an independent working mode
- Additional training & experience in business design methodology
- Strong experience and skills in building and leading strategic partnerships
- Significant experience and knowledge in customer research, foresight methodology, customer insights and jobs-to-get-done methodology
- Enthusiasm and understanding of new technologies (AI, robotics, blockchain, etc.)
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Entrepreneurial thinking & acting with a pronounced innovative spirit
- Knowledge of Vorwerk internal processes/ procedures, decision making and stakeholder management would be advantageous
- Fluent English and German skills, oral and written
- Hands-on mentality completes your profile
