Responsibilities:
- Proactively Engage Business Stakeholders: initiate proactive discussions with business stakeholders to understand and translate their requirements into actionable data-driven solutions and insights.
- Clear Communication of Insights: communicate findings, insights, and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders using reports, presentations, or dashboards, ensuring comprehension and actionable outcomes.
- Advanced Model Development: develop advanced predictive models, machine learning algorithms, or statistical models to effectively address business problems and research questions, leveraging cutting-edge techniques.
- Thorough Model Evaluation: conduct comprehensive evaluation of model performance utilizing appropriate metrics, cross-validation techniques, and validation methods to ensure robustness and reliability.
- Technology Evaluation and Proposal: research, propose, and assess state-of-the-art and emerging technologies, considering their potential business value addition and relevance to organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a computer science or related quantitative discipline
- Working experience as Data Scientist or comparable role
- Ability to take conceptual ideas through to production, demonstrating proficiency in translating concepts into practical solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, enabling effective interpretation and manipulation of complex datasets
- Effective communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Service-oriented mindset, prioritizing the needs of stakeholders and aligning solutions with organizational goals
- Excellent proficiency in Python and SQL
- Project management skills are a plus
- Fluent in English and German
