To enlarge our Eastern Mediterranean Team we are looking for a
                                                                                           Country Programme Officer 

The position is a  position with  40 h/week.

This position is only filled locally in Aman Jordan. With contractual conditions of the respective country. An expatriation is not intended.

These are your responsibilities

  • Lead, guide and coordinate project and/or multi-year planning processes with partners, CBM Initiatives/technical teams and fundraising departments, ensuring the quality and sustainability of results in line with CBM and donor requirements of the project. 
  • Ensure high quality of project plans with effective delivery and fulfilment of objectives, utilisation of budgets as well as compliance with human rights standards ethnic and gender perspective/balance and a special focus on the inclusion of persons with disabilities.
  • Support the facilitation quaterly meetings with partners focusing on knowledge sharing and joint planning for disability inclusion actions. Meeting minutes will be shared with relevant stakeholders.
    Ensure coordination and information sharing with relevant representatives.
  • Support key stakeholders in inclusive project cycle management including  design, measure, and reporting on inclusive programming, ensuring that initiatives are disability-inclusive , while focusing on the thematic priority areas of the project. 
  • Provide guidance on capacity-building solutions to support inclusive programming.
  • Conduct targeted training sessions for (disability) focal points in the relevant working groups.
  • Develop monitoring tools together with the partner to ensure that programme outcomes are met. 
    Document and ensure sharing of material related to disability inclusion to support partners and focal points with up-to-date resources.  

 

These are your qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in capacity-building, program coordination, and/or GBV, MHPSS, disability inclusion.
  • Familiarity with international standards for inclusive programming, such as the IASC guidelines on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in humanitarian action, and an understanding of the local context in Palestine.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills and experience working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment, promoting open dialogue and strategic partnerships.
  • Good knowledge of project management cycle.
  • Ability to travel to Palestine is considered an advantage
  • Inclusive education knowledge is advantage.
  • Mandatory Requirements:
     - Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) & Advanced English ( spoken and written)
    - Jordanian nationality
    - Proven experience working within the humanitarian or development sector.
    - Proven experience of project management skills.
