To expand our Eastern Mediterranean Team we are looking for a                                                                                                                              Country Programme Officer

in full time. Limited contract for 1 year - extension is intented.

This position is only filled locally in Jordan. With contractual conditions of the respective country. An expatriation is not intended.

These are your responsibilities

  • Lead, guide and coordinate joint project and/or multi-year planning processes with 
    partners, CBM Initiatives/technical teams and fundraising departments, ensuring the 
    quality and sustainability of results in line with CBM and donor requirements.
  • Ensure high quality of project and programme plans with effective delivery and fulfilment 
    of objectives, utilisation of budgets as well as compliance with human rights standards 
    ethnic and gender perspective/balance. 
  • Support the Programme Representative in maintaining strong partnerships and 
    diversifying partnerships, alliances, and collaborations.
  • Organize and conduct initial and regularly updated organizational capacity assessments 
    and/or partnership reviews, jointly develop plans to address capacity gaps, identify 
    solutions, monitor implementation, and document learning.
  • Support the Eastern Mediterranean team in organizing institutional events in the country, 
    regional workshops conferences or high-level meetings and annual learning events with 
    partners. 

 

These are your qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, international development, or related field. 
  • Professional experience of approx. five (5) years in national or international NGOs, with a 
    track record in successfully designing and managing large development programmes in 
    collaboration with national partners. 
  • Experience in developing and managing large scale institutionally funded projects. 
    Experience of managing complex consortium an advantage. 
  • Proven experience in results-based management and project cycle management. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing internal and external relationships and 
    partnerships particularly with government and delegations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills and teamwork.
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian actors, development actors, networking, and coordination
  • Good understanding of budget planning and reporting
  • Arabic and English proficiency on business level is compulsory / Proficient in MS Office
