Compliance Officer in part-time (50%)

Your tasks consist of

  • The Compliance Officer in part-time (50%), working closely with the Head of Compliance, is responsible for providing support and assistance to the US business units and maintaining compliance with regulatory compliance policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible for preventing money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism and criminal offenses.
  • Keep US management and headquarters informed of significant local compliance, privacy and anti-money laundering issues.
  • Responsible for the preparation / updating of local compliance guidelines and processes
  • Develop, implement and maintain an ongoing compliance training program to educate local employees on applicable regulations (e.g., AML) and company policies (e.g., privacy and data protection, etc.).
  • Reports to the Head of Compliance and is the point of contact for Internal Audit, external auditors and regulators in New York/USA.

Your skills consist of

  • 5+ years of experience in a compliance role within a regulated financial institution
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, particularly AML
  • Familiarity with EU regulations relevant to the parent/head office preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical mindset, team-orientation and brilliant communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • PC literate with advanced Excel, PowerPoint & Word skills
