Cloud Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/x)
The Materna Cyber Defense Center ensures the IT security of our customers. We analyze potential risks and counter them appropriately - always with the aim of minimizing the risk of cyber security attacks. To this end, we offer various services such as cyber security checks, a Cyber Defense Center (CDC) or our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and are thus responsible for the planning, creation, and implementation of holistic cyber security measures.

As Cloud Cyber Security Engineer
- you configure and implement multi-tenant solutions based on Microsoft Cloud or Azure products and technologies so that we, as a Cyber Defense Center, can offer security services based on them.
- you define configuration blueprints with which the functions of the products and technologies used can be specifically adapted to the needs of customers and our analysts.
- you create concepts and implement solutions so that the relevant configurations can be monitored and managed in the customer environments.
- work with our analysts to develop effective and efficient procedures for detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents and try to support them in the best possible way.
- you recognize the potential to automate manual work steps and are able to implement appropriate automation.
- you support the service development in the Cyber Defense Center, drive the continuous increase of its maturity level and provide relevant impulses for this.

What you bring with you
- A successfully completed degree with a focus on IT / engineering as well as several years of professional experience in the IT security environment, e.g. SOC, CERT, CDC or CSIRT - preferably in an MSSP or corporate environment
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft 365 Defender Suite, Azure Defender Suite, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Lighthouse, Azure Logic Apps, Microsoft Intune as well as experience in dealing with other relevant Microsoft Cloud or Azure products and services
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) and Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100) or an interest in acquiring these certifications in the near future
- Experience in handling and knowledge of the functionality of common security tools and solutions such as SIEM, EDR, NDR and IDS / IPS systems or solutions
- Profound knowledge of common operating systems, network infrastructures, and IT architectures
- Analytical way of thinking and a solution-oriented and structured way of working
- Very good command of written and spoken English (C1) and basic knowledge of German
