Associate Director Market Access


Your Job

• Providing a wide range of flexible services within Market Access for different clients in a range of different medicinal product types and therapeutic areas;
• Develops relevant pricing and market access strategy, ensures project direction and coordinates and manages Market Access project plan with Market Access Lead to fully meet all client deliverables;
• Leads client meetings and helps manage client expectations;
• Creates and manages all aspects of project works streams and coordinates priorities within the Market Access projects;
• Leads secondary data analysis in areas of access, pricing and contracting;
• Develops and maintains client relationships;
• Strong leader of the local office in Market Access and cross functional work with other service areas/ Market Access affiliates;
• Review of the work carried out by the technicians to meet the quality standards expected by the client;
• Responsible for compliance with the laws and ethical codes operating in the reference sector, as well as for its own updating in order to always operate without jeopardizing itself or the reputation of the company
• Representation of clients at health authorities including acting as the primary contact point and facilitating in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with local health agencies; 
• Participation in business development activities for PHARMALEX and international group; 
• Translation (EN<>PT) of scientific, technical and regulatory documentation.
• Day to day operational decisions regarding allocated projects, including budgetary management, project management and client interactions.

Your Profile

• Successful completion of a Degree or equivalent in Pharmacy, Business Economics, Life Sciences/Engineering related programs or other natural sciences;
• Master's degree (or post-graduation) in Health Economics, Pharmaceutical Industry, Public Health or similar;
• Several years of experience and broad knowledge in the field of MA for both medicinal products and health technologies in Portugal ;
• Autonomous, concentrated and high-quality work;
• Ability to deliver and effectively manage strategic goals for the business as well as strategic goals of partnerships with clients; ability to balance client requests, employee and company interests;
• Strong understanding of the MAS service lines to adequately prepare and/or support the preparation of proposals/RFP responses for clients;
• Structured, analytical, systematic and independent way of working;
• Ability to adjust rapidly to new, unknown, challenging situations; delivery of strategic outputs and actions consistent with operating policies;
• Lead extensive process reengineering activities and provide consultation related to change management;
• Proactively identify and manage up/cross selling opportunities;
• Ability to analyse problems and propose solutions at a business level;
• Ability to work in a team and lead a team of specialists ;
• Ability to manage internal and external client relationships on client's department head level; ability to convey strategic goals of collaboration and be an ambassador for the company;
• Proven capability to communicate critical issues, analyse and propose appropriate solutions to decision makers and business heads;
• Professional written and verbal communication skills;
• Portuguese and English (both mandatory) language fluency. Fluency in another language is an advantage
