THE ROLE

The Art Director role is to lead in the creation and execution of global experience projects for blue-chip clients that span physical, digital, virtual, and film mediums. The heart of the role is crafting innovative brand experiences that connect with audiences and transform them into fans. The role requires close collaboration with the creative leadership and strategy team to develop compelling brand narratives that connect authentically with target audiences. Work will bridge multiple touchpoints, creating cohesive and immersive experiences that draw people closer to brands. This role will be reporting to the Creative Director.     Design
  • Storytelling: Possesses a strong eye for visual storytelling, creating engaging and memorable brand experiences.
  • Visual Art Direction: An exquisite eye and innate ability to define and articulate visual language through the curation and creation of precedent imagery for diverse types of content application. 
  • Copywriting: Develops copy that captures the essence of brand identity and tone of voice, of an experience proposition, or strategic vision to inspire clients and audiences alike.  
  • Experience Design: Contributes to the design of multi-touchpoint, holistic experiences that build a cohesive and engaging narrative across various platforms.
  • Scriptwriting: Writes compelling scripts for film and narrative storytelling experiences.
  • Design: Design skills and tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Technology: Be up to date on all latest technology including AR, VR and AI, etc - don't get left behind
Strategic
  • Working closely with the Strategy Director on assigned projects to develop an elevated understanding of business, brand and audience objectives. 
  • Support Creative Director in developing New Business project proposals from start to submission.  
  • Work alongside the strategy team to understand audience mindsets and execute experiences.
Management
  • Ability to work well under pressure, often under critical deadlines, handling several client's projects at once. 
  • Experience to manage up-stream for internal reviews with CD, ECD, and Client Services. 
  • Work closely with production teams, creative tech and external contractors for proposals, evaluating feasibility and viability of individual project delivery.  
  • Ability to prioritise, plan, multi-task, own and manage your project work with clarity, integrity and authority.   
  • Ability to delegate and provide articulate and constructive direction to other creatives, where applicable.

YOUR PROFILE

You inspire and motivate creative personnel within the studio and maintain professional relationships with key employees from other departments. A high-energy level, entrepreneurial spirit, you own a shared responsibility for the creative success of assigned project work, as well as contributing to the success of those that work with you. You must have polished and confident presentation skills and be an active listener with the ability to interact with a variety of disciplines from strategy, to digital and built 3D environment design.    
  • Expert knowledge of the visual, written, storytelling and brand Communications industry, with experience of working in experiential design preferable.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative requiring minimal supervision. 
  • A team player and committed collaborator, experienced and able to work with Clients' account and production teams, external agencies and partners.  
  • A craftsperson, holding high expectations and standards with a keen attention to detail and delivery.
  • Ability to analyse issues thoroughly, possessing proven, problem-solving skills.
