POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a Data Preparation Engineer, you will play a critical role in enabling the successful printing of complex parts from CAD files by ensuring precise and efficient data preparation for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) systems. This involves creating vectors for laser guidance and managing up to twelve optical systems for optimal performance. Working with a global team of skilled experts, you will tackle challenging geometries and intricate physical phenomena to develop and improve cutting-edge data preparation solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate the LPBF process to lay the foundation for the next generation of Data Preparation solutions.
- Develop and program future Data Preparation tools using state-of-the-art software.
- Plan, conduct, and analyze experiments with the latest machine technology.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to deliver tailor-made solutions.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree or equivalent certification in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical), Physics, or Software Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong ability to manage projects and conduct experiments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Python.
- Experience in Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) or similar processes is advantageous.
- Enthusiastic about your field, with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to independently manage tasks and create new opportunities.
- Fluency in English.
